How to Apply Human Design to Your Daily Life
So you pulled your chart…
You found out your energy type, your authority, maybe even your profile.
And now you’re wondering:
What the hell am I supposed to do with all this?
Human Design isn’t just a chart—it’s a way of life.
But it doesn’t have to be overwhelming, confusing, or something you only think about during a reading.
Here’s how to actually live it—in real life, every day.
1. Honor Your Energy Type First
Start here. Always.
Your energy type is the foundation of your design—it shows you how your energy is meant to move, work, and flow through the world.
Generators & Manifesting Generators:
Ask yourself daily: What feels energizing to me right now?
You’re meant to respond to life—not force it. Follow your gut. If it lights you up, it’s for you. If it drains you, pause.
Projectors:
Your job isn’t to do more—it’s to see more.
Take breaks. Use your voice wisely. Wait for aligned invitations, not just any opportunity. Value your perspective.
Manifestors:
You’re here to initiate, not wait.
But let people know what you’re doing. Inform. Move in bursts. Rest when you need it—because your energy isn’t made for constant output.
Reflectors:
Check in with your environment often.
Ask: Does this space feel good? Do these people reflect who I want to be? Give yourself time before making decisions. You’re meant to move with the moon, not the rush.
2. Make Decisions Through Your Authority
This is everything.
Your authority is your internal compass. It’s how you access truth—not the mental kind, the body-based kind.
Start asking yourself:
→ Am I making this decision from my mind, or my authority?
A few daily check-in examples:
Emotional Authority: Ride the wave. Don’t force clarity. Ask yourself, How do I feel about this today? How about tomorrow?
Sacral Authority: Use yes/no questions. Does this feel like a full-body yes? Or nah?
Splenic Authority: Trust the first whisper. The more you honor it, the louder it gets.
Ego/Heart Authority: Do I want this? Is this aligned with what I value and desire?
Self-Projected: Speak it out. Talk it through. You hear your truth when you use your voice.
Mental/Environmental: Go where the energy feels right. Clarity comes when you’re in the right place with the right people.
3. Use Your Not-Self Theme as a Red Flag
Each energy type has a “not-self” emotion that shows up when you’re out of alignment.
It’s a built-in alert system. Learn it. Use it.
Frustration (Generators/MGs)
Bitterness (Projectors)
Anger (Manifestors)
Disappointment (Reflectors)
Feeling one of these today? That’s your cue to pause and ask:
→ Where am I ignoring my strategy or pushing against my design?
4. Stop Trying to Be Good at Everything
Your undefined centers aren’t here to be “fixed.”
They’re not flaws. They’re areas of wisdom—but only when you stop trying to control them.
For example:
Undefined Heart - You’re not here to prove anything.
Undefined Head - You don’t need to figure everything out.
Undefined Sacral - You’re not made for the hustle.
Undefined Solar Plexus? You’re not here to avoid every uncomfortable conversation.
Just notice when you’re overcompensating—and let that sh*t go.
5. Take Baby Steps, Not Spiritual Leaps
Don’t try to “perfect” your Human Design.
You don’t need to become a new person.
This work is about unbecoming all the versions of you that were built on fear, pressure, and performance.
Start small:
Choose one decision today and let your authority lead.
Say no to one thing that drains you.
Rest when your body asks—even if your mind resists.
Journal on a not-self theme when it pops up.
Trust yourself more than the algorithm.
You don’t need to master your whole chart.
You just need to live your design, one aligned choice at a time.
Human Design isn’t a personality test.
It’s a map back to yourself.
The more you work with your energy instead of against it, the more your life starts to feel like yours.
And if you’ve been craving support in that process, I created my Know Yourself, Love Yourself™ coaching program just for that.
